Great vegetarian restaurant! Coming back and bringing all my friends soon!

So many options! Definitely a hidden gem.

As an omnivore, I really enjoy my meals here at Bodai. I've eaten at both the Brooklyn and Flushing locations and the quality is A+ in my book. I prefer the Flushing location a tad more due to convenience and proximity to other things.

Food was very good and nice service . Very abundant .

Spectacular food, large portions and good prices. We couldn't even eat half of what we ordered, it was filling but delicious!!

Horrible service. Was served food in some broken glass bowl . No China plate. A bold Chinese guy was the Waiter. Perhaps racist as we are Indians

Best Veggie Food

I going to this restaurant a few times already, it never disappoints me. Their "Veggie Roast Meat" is my favor dish, alway get the large one!! Their items are all meat like, but they are all veg, some cooked really like real meat, good chief!

This place is actually amazing. My first time trying dishes like these and they were delicious. Would definitely recommend. Service was great and fast.

Pre-Birthday dinner. Family treat and the food was good. Best house tea I've had in a while.

For vegans... All that you love about Chinese cuisine to the max with imitation meat and great appitizers you will enjoy going to a restaurant that doesn't think vegans only eat salad 😌

I liked them before they started to ask for 15% tipping. We usually ask for take out with our dinner. So ticket price will be high and adding 15% on top of take out order is not fair.

Best vegan General Tsao chicken I ever had! And the brown rice was so hearty and fresh. Lunch comes with soup of vegetable spring roll. I had the spring roll which was good. Not oily!

Vegetarian kosher Chinese restaurant in Flushing. Great food and lots of selections. Busy during lunch & dinner hours, and on the weekends. Street parking.

The great thing about this place is that everything is either vegan or vegetarian. Food tastes great. Some may find it a bit bland, but nothing some soy sauce can't fix. Atmosphere is great. There is some room for improvement, for example they serve you tea, but not water unless you ask for it. There is a very big screen TV, but the only thing we ever see on there is the Spanish channel which is a bit odd for a Chinese restaurant with Chinese decor all around. Prices are reasonable. Service is good and food arrived fast. We have been there many times and always enjoyed our meals.

First time going here with two meat eaters and the they couldn't tell the difference the food is amazing can't tell the difference between if you eating meat or veggie meat. The server was very tentative and helpful in making a selection try that taro root entree in the pic below its really delicious. If you are a rice eater the cedar fried rice has a flavor like no other not ur typical Chinese food fan fare at this place.

Vegetarian Roast Meat was the best dish I tried here. I would go there just for that. Vegetarian Chicken Satay was not bad but a little too dry and could use more sauce. Peking Porkchop was way too saucy. If fried little more with less sauce would be ideal. Crispy Taro Duck is decent. Cedar fried rice is so so. It has a specific scent I think due to cedar leaves? It also lack the type of taste which quality fried rice would have when used strong fire on a wok. Service was quick and place is clean. Price is on the high side. I am giving 4 star because comparatively this restaurant still surpassed its peers.

I've been going here for years, both before and after living in China and both as an omnivore and vegetarian and LOVE it. The pan fried radish cake is awesome, as are all the rice rolls 肠粉, cedar buns. Nice enough to bring the family or friends but also affordable enough to come on your own for lunch. Highly recommend!

Worth trekking out here from the city!! Can't really go wrong with any of the dishes. So delicious.

Food is always great but they really need to work on their service. Waiter would chase u down for their tips but don't understand gratuities depend on their services. Good service equals good tips

This is a Great Vegan Kosher Chinese Restaurant, it was clean and friend environment they even explain the dish if you don't know what it is or means, the food was delicious

2019.02 went for cny .. Still great dinner especially the portebello2018.04 good taste... Even there is no meat. Decent portion.

One of my favorite vegan restaurants. It has a huge variety of dim sum and entrees, the staff is overall friendly, fast, and I always appreciate that I'm not being rushed.

Amazing food! Fully vegetarian with lots of vegan options! The food here pleases even the biggest meat eaters. All of our international visitors make special visits and even take the food back! Be sure to try the General Tsos, Roast Meat (with the hot sauce), lettuce song or wrap.

The food at this place is delicious. It's all vegetarian, no meat. It's Buddhist vegetarian, so no garlic, onion, scallion. It's also kosher. Had the 'lettuce song' appetizer, it's great. Also had the 'vege. roast meat', delicious. The 'cedar fried rice' had great flavor. The 'vege. lamb stew casserole' & 'portobello mushroom in oyster sauce' also delicious. Didn't miss the meat with this meal

We met with friends at this restaurant for lunch. we heard about this restaurant from a lot of people. Well, it was very nice. The staff members welcomed us with a smile and we had a great feeling. The meal was delicious. We enjoyed every moment and we will visit this place again. Warmly recommended.

The food was great, well prepared. Veggies were crispy, noodles just right. Personally, I find this cuisine a bit bland - used to more spices in my food, but the food was truly great, and is a very healthy option for anyone with any kind of health issues. Highly recommended for that. Given 4 stars as the staff was a bit rude. Customer service needs to be improved.

Amazing vegan/vegetarian Dim Sum as a comparable substitution to the conventional Dim Sum offerings. No MSG to boot as well. Their chili sauce is perfect if you ask for it! This place can get quite busy at times but an enjoyable dining experience everytime I go. Would recommend!!

I usually don't give review of any kind but this is the best vegatarian food I have eaten. It's delicious, fulfilling and reasonable. The presentation is spectacular and fast service.

Bodai has delicious vegetarian dim sum. Usually able to sit both small and large groups. It is very affordable and they have lunch special during the week. Personal favorites include watercress dumplings, Cantonese dumplings, spinach rice roll, and Cedar Fried rice. Go and enjoy!

I love this place! They have superb dishes, their menu is large, The chief cook in that place is well trained, I love very much trying all their food. The food is always of high class, the service towards the guests is helpful. I frequently visit this place and I was never disappointed. I highly recommend it.

Fastest service I have experienced anywhere in the States. For a second I wasn't sure what came first - the act of ordering or the food. The food was sumptuous. If you are into very tasty Chinese food, awesome looking and tasting imitation meat or even a fan of good service, this simply put up, generic looking restaurant is for you. We had a whole array of food from a mile long menu and all of them hit the mark. Strongly recommended.

I was sceptical about having vegetarian meat but it turned out to be very delicious and tasty just as it was actual meat in that style. Clean and friendly staff. Parking is a bit difficult in that area tho.

Vegetarians restaurant to get your craving for meaty vegetarians dish substitute. Like the rating said it's all for it's foods & services.

Lackluster decor but not off-puttingly ugly. Part of a eight-person party and ordered a sizable amount of food (probably around 8 dishes), and one came back wrong (ordered garlic "chicken", got "fish"). Understandable, however the place was pretty empty throughout our stay. Still, delicious food (speaking as a meat-eater who's never tried a vegetarian restaurant before) and good service. Would definitely return.

Worst service. Many seats were empty but we were asked to o wait outside for 15 minutes. They made us sit all the way in back. No glass of water and no utensils on table or were served with food. The main course was served in dirty glass plate with broken edge. We ordered eggplant with garlic sauce with another separate dish but eggplant came first with no rice which is normally always served with small bowl of rice and it was served in dirty transparent glass broken plate. Other dish came 10 minutes later. We are vegetarian and enjoy Chinese food. Therefore chose to go there as it is the only vegetarian Chinese restaurant around where we live. We are very disappointed and make sure never go there again and tell our family and friends the same too.
